The Lyrical Pictogram has been created by writers with decades of experience between us. We love words, and consider them to be the most powerful magic humanity possesses.

In a world of fast-paced social media, Artificial Intelligence and shortening attention spans, our mission has become clear: To reconnect human beings with human-generated literary art. Art that evokes positive human emotions in a time of ebb and flow.

We believe the written word is sacred, and that the sharing of stories, that most ancient of endeavours, is a necessary component of the sapient spirit.

The narrative mode sprang at speed from humanity’s ability to utilise complex language. Back through the mists of time these myths and chronicles never required the written word, with the oral tradition providing the basis of shared culture for thousands of years. Then with the advent of writing, we no longer needed to rely on memory to tell stories, thus freeing our minds to focus ever more intricately on storytelling as an art form.

We believe AI and technology has its place in society, and admittedly there’s no way of escaping its presence in our lives now, but it should not replace the most hallowed and pure form of art we have. So AI plays absolutely no part in the writing of a Lyrical Pictogram. Human beings should remain the generators of the beautiful sentence, the evokers of the imagined... indeed the imagination is a wholly organic component of the complex brain, and reaches its zenith in people. We do not believe robots are capable of original thought, though they can be technically, impressively derivative.

Our burning passion is in reconnecting people with the art of exquisite, original storytelling with a necessary nod to a literary past we feel must be kept alive in this digital age. To that end we present the Lyrical Pictogram, where we use the magic of human imagination combined with the virtuosity of writing to turn pictures into prose and our prose into a painting that you feel - a bespoke story that is entirely yours.

Unlike other storytelling companies, who insert specific details you provide into pre-written template narratives, we create from scratch a tale unique to you, based on the image provided and the information accompanying it.

This informs the tone and style, with our chief mission being to weave a grand narrative from what we see, one that will elicit a range of positive emotions in you. We have seen joy, laughter and tears provoked by our pens, and our aim is to leave you with a piece of original art to treasure forever.
